Post-punk pioneers PUBLIC IMAGE LTD (PiL) to make their Singapore debut with ‘This Is Not The Last Tour’ in January 2027!

Iconic post-punk pioneers Public Image Ltd (PiL), fronted by legendary vocalist John Lydon, will perform in Singapore for the first time ever as they bring their ‘This Is Not The Last Tour’ to Foo Chow Hall for one night only on Saturday, 30 January 2027!

Following his time fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed PiL in 1978, establishing the band as one of the most innovative and influential acts in alternative music. With a constantly evolving line-up and a distinctive sound that fuses rock, dance, folk, pop and dub, PiL challenged musical conventions and redefined the boundaries of post-punk. Their uncompromising vision earned them five UK Top 20 singles and five UK Top 20 albums, from their groundbreaking debut First Issue to the influential Metal Box and 1992’s That What Is Not.

After a 17-year hiatus, Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009, leading the band through extensive touring and the release of three critically acclaimed albums: This Is PiL (2012), What The World Needs Now… (2015) and End of World (2023). Following a strong run of UK and European shows and festival appearances in 2025, the band continues to push forward, with their live album Alive, recorded during the tour, now available and a new studio album in the works for 2027. The current line-up features John Lydon on vocals, Lu Edmonds on guitar, Scott Firth on bass and Mark Roberts on drums.

For Lydon, the live stage remains where PiL’s raw energy truly comes alive. Describing the band as “a ferocious band” in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he reflected on the intensity of performing live and the feeling of finding where he truly belongs once he steps onstage.

After fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed post-punk originators Public Image Ltd (PiL). Widely regarded as one of the most innovative bands of all time, their music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20Singles and 5 UK Top 20 Albums. With a shifting line-up and unique sound – fusing rock, dance, folk, pop and dub – Lydon guided the band from their debut album ‘First Issue’ in 1978 through to 1992’s ‘That What Is Not’, before a 17 year hiatus. Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009, touring extensively and releasing three critically acclaimed albums ‘This is PiL’ in 2012 followed by ‘What TheWorld Needs Now…’ in 2015 and ‘End of World’ in 2023. In 2025, PiL embarked on their This Is Not the Last Tour, continuing their legacy of challenging musical conventions. In 2026, the band returned for South American, European and North American tours, released the live album Alive, recorded during their 2025 performances, and began work on their 12th studio album, scheduled for release in 2027. Led by the ever-provocative John Lydon, PiL remain a vital and influential force in alternative music.
