Progressive Rock Legend TONY LEVIN with his Trio STICK MEN to perform in Singapore in January 2027!

Singtel Waterfront Theatre | Friday, 29 January 2027, 8pm

Legendary musician Tony Levin and his acclaimed progressive rock trio Stick Men are set to bring their virtuosic and genre-defying live performance to Singapore at Singtel Waterfront Theatre on 29 January 2027 at 8pm.

Founded in 2007, Stick Men is a band unlike any other in modern progressive rock. Featuring Tony Levin on Chapman Stick, Pat Mastelotto on acoustic and electronic drums and percussion, and Markus Reuter on 8-string Touch Guitar, the trio creates the power, complexity and dynamic range of a much larger ensemble through unconventional instrumentation and two-handed “touch-style” tapping. Known for their technical virtuosity and immersive live performances, Stick Men have performed over 500 concerts across more than 40 countries on four continents.

At the heart of the trio is Tony Levin, one of the most influential bass players in progressive rock. Best known for his decades-long work with King Crimson and Peter Gabriel, Levin has also recorded or toured with John Lennon, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, Seal, Alice Cooper and James Taylor, among many others. A prolific session musician with credits on over 600 albums, his pioneering use of the Chapman Stick remains a defining part of his sound.

Joining Levin is Pat Mastelotto, the former Mr. Mister drummer and longest-serving drummer of King Crimson, whose distinctive approach blends acoustic drums with electronic textures, loops and samples. Markus Reuter, a German multi-instrumentalist and composer, brings his mastery of the 8-string Touch Guitar, creating intricate textures across progressive rock, electronic and contemporary music.

Stick Men released Let’s THRAK Again in September 2026, a tribute to King Crimson’s landmark 1995 album THRAK. The trio is currently taking the album on tour across North and South America, Europe and Asia, bringing their powerful, hypnotic and boundary-pushing sound to audiences worldwide.

Tony Levin and Stick Men promise an extraordinary evening of musicianship, progressive rock and immersive live performance.

Stick Men, founded in 2007, is a band unlike any other in modern progressive rock. Forged in the fires of the legendary King Crimson rhythm section, the trio generates the power, complexity, and dynamic range of a massive orchestra using unorthodox, highly specialized instruments. Featuring bass and stick icon Tony Levin, drumming master Pat Mastelotto, and touch-guitar maestro Markus Reuter, the band eschews traditional guitar strumming. Instead, they push the absolute limits of two-handed “touch-style” tapping, breaking new ground sonically and compositionally. The trio is renowned for its powerful, highly dynamic instrumental performances, technical virtuosity, and immersive, hypnotic live shows that balance mathematical precision with raw, primal energy.

Since their inception they have performed over 500 concerts in over 40 countries worldwide on 4 continents.
